A compensator is a quntiessential part of a legitimate Roland Special build, and it actually does reduce the muzzle flip considerably.

This is more important in a red dot enhanced pistol than with irons as keeping the dot in the field of view allows for the higher sustained and accurate fire that the Roland Special concept is capable of.

As this build is a DIY endeavor, I acquired a comp from Texas Black Rifle Systems and installed it myself - using nothing more than set screws & loctite.
