Grinding cold shuts out of a Damascus billet

I messed up and had a thin piece of 15N20 on one side of this billet. The 1080 is much thicker (I use thicker 1080 as it crushes at a faster pace than the 15N20 so they end up about the same size in layers when I am done) and this caused the 15N20 to heat faster and bend away from the rest of the billet...causing a fairly large area of cold shuts.
