You should learn iron sights for you rifle before optics. You cannot buy fundamentals or skill. Every rifle should have iron sights on it, and if they are going to be on the rifle anyway, learn them. Iron sights are a classic, reliable, and cost-effective sight system. Since many rifle gunfights take place up close, at pistol distances, learning how to use them in the event of an optic failure is vital. We learn iron sights with pistols with no problem. Now take that and apply it to the rifle. Shoot irons!
