T124E2: America's Last Antitank Gun (short version)

The T124E2 was the last dedicated anti-tank gun designed for the US Army. The program was cancelled before it even reached the field, with only about 100 of the guns ever made. It fired a high velocity 76mm armor piercing projectile, but was rendered functionally obsolete by the introduction of recoilless rifles that could fulfill the same role with a far smaller footprint.
